JDC's SKYWATCH AGROS was designed specifically for the scientific and agricultural markets, for measuring temperature and humidity of haybales and soil. A precision thermometer/hygrometer is located in the end of an almost 1 meter metal probe, and adjusts quickly to the medium in which it is placed. Designed and manufactured in Switzerland to our demanding specifications, the SKYWATCH AGROS is engineered to provide a lifetime of accurate and dependable use.

The SKYWATCH AGROS was built to specifications for measuring the internal temperature and humidity of haybales and stacks. Moist hay will create heat, and can be enough to combust. When internal hay temperatures rise above 130°F, a chemical reaction begins to produce a flammable gas hat can ignite if the temperature goes high enough. Hay bales should not exceed 16-18% moisture content. Overheating depends on the moisture content of the hay when baled, density of the stack or bale, ambient temperature and humidity, and rainfall absorbed by the hay.

The SKYWATCH AGROS probe is built from a heavy gauge stainless steel. It will not bend or break under any but the most extreme pressures. The display is rugged and sealed against the weather. While it cannot be submerged, the display can withstand rain or snow with no problems.
